Thermo-coagulation method

Thermo-coagulation Therapy is a modern term for advanced electrolysis or thermolysis treatments. Thermolysis involves applying heat to react with the moisture in a hair follicle or a skin anomaly, like a skin tag. This heat reaction destroys the nutrient supply to the hair, preventing regrowth, or desiccates the tissue of skin tags and other anomalies, causing dehydration. The dehydration of an anomaly leads to scab formation, which then falls off. Electrolysis is also employed for the permanent removal of unwanted facial hair.

Cherry Angioma and Vascular Lesions

Cherry angiomas are vascular lesions on the skin that may be raised. When flat, they are commonly known as blood spots, but both types consist of a cluster of blood vessels or dilated capillaries. They can be more conspicuous than skin tags and moles because of their vivid red color. However, they are easily treatable.

Facial Red Vein

Facial red veins, also known as dilated capillaries or professionally as telangiectasia, can be found on various parts of the body, including the face, neck, and décolletage. They often manifest as a spider nevus, which is a red blood spot with tiny legs radiating from the center, resembling spider legs. Generally, they are caused by skin damage affecting the delicate network of superficial capillaries near the surface of the epidermis.

Skin tags and Moles

Skin tags are benign growths on the skin that can appear on different body parts. Typically located in areas of friction, they may cause discomfort when aggravated by clothing. These growths can differ in size and color and are sometimes mistakenly called moles, but they are readily treatable.

Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra

Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra is a benign skin condition that typically affects individuals with darker skin tones. These lesions usually manifest on the face and neck during adolescence and may alter in size and texture over time. An example of someone with this condition is the actor Morgan Freeman.

Seborrheic Keratosis

Seborrheic Keratosis consists of non-cancerous growths that commonly develop with age. They manifest as scaly, waxy patches, varying in color from light brown to dark brown or black. These growths are typically slightly elevated and can have either a smooth or rough texture.

Xanthelasma

Xanthelasma typically appear on the inner canthus of the eyelid, more often on the upper lid but can also manifest on the lower inner eye area. They are yellowish and contain cholesterol, predominantly affecting middle-aged women. Xanthelasma may be present in individuals with high blood levels of fats or cholesterol, which could indicate liver disease, such as Primary Biliary Cirrhosis.

Syringoma

Syringomas are benign, non-cancerous growths that typically form below the eyes and on the upper cheeks. They appear as white and somewhat translucent bumps. These harmless lesions result from an overgrowth of cells within the eccrine sweat glands.

Milia

Milia resemble small white pearls typically found on the face, though they can also appear on the chest and arms. These tiny plugs consist of sebum and waste secretions trapped beneath the skin. Squeezing them is not advisable as it can lead to complications such as broken capillaries and spider nevi. While commonly linked to oily skin types, milia may also develop from skin damage, including excessive sun exposure.
