Micro-needling is an aesthetic skin rejuvenation and tightening treatment which can also be referred to as Dermal Roller, Dermapen and/or Collagen Induction or Meta Therapy (medical esthetic tissue activating therapy). This is an intense advanced treatment which can be carried out using a manual needling roller or an electrical micro-needling device/pen. Both methods create a multitude of tiny punctures within the skin which trigger the bodies natural healing and rejuvenation process. It is being referred to as the new age alternative to a mini face lift due to its skin tightening and contouring effect.

The puncture wounds create tiny channels within the skin allowing specialist ingredients to be absorbed and delivered to the target area. These tiny perforations stimulate the body’s natural healing response by kick-starting the production of new cells, collagen and elastin. This rejuvenation process results in plumping and tightening of the skin thus smoothing fine lines, wrinkles and reduces pore size, improving the surface texture and appearance of the skin.

Scars and stretch marks can also be dramatically improved with this treatment.

Although you will see improvement after your first treatment the collagen production process begins to take proper form from 4 weeks and continued improvement for a year and more. I use various needle length to target specific concerns.

The frequency of treatment varies depending on the skin condition being treated. A bespoke course will be discussed during your consultation.
